When I was young, if we placed our elbows on the dinner table, my father would poke our elbows with una forchetta. Very painful! And good lesson. And when he would see a young woman chewing with her mouth open, he would recite a funny poem: The gum-chewing girl and the cud-chewing cow are somewhat alike yet different somehow. What can it be? Oh, I see it now: it's the thoughtful look on the face of the cow. :)

Oh my God. We are somehow twins. The funny thing is that I am trying to teach my little daughter how to eat correctly, using my kindness, my inner contact with her. I've tried so many times. No result at all. She takes the fork like a 'prosciutto' s bone', elbows large on right and left, open mouth while chewing. A nightmare. :-)
